Jade Jewellery

I was so lucky to be in London during the Jade Jewellery trunk show. They had two trunk shows, I went the one in Mark”s Club which is one of London’s most popular private clubs. Along with the christmas decorations and glasses of champagne, the jewellery looked stunning. I had the chance to meet one of the partners, Sukina Hussein Mackie.
Can you tell us about Jade Jewellery?
We are based in Saudi Arabia but sell internationally. Our jewellery line is personnally selected to cater to a niche of highly sophisticated clients who are looking for high quality, unique, special and eccentric designs.Do you have any shops?
We have 2 main shops in Jeddah, one is on the high street and the other one is in a shopping mall in Jeddah. We have a corner in Riyad,in a friends boutique where we display some reasonably priced jewellery. We have trunk shows around the world, mainly in Golf area. It was our friends who suggested we have a show in London as a large number of our clients are based here. So far, our first show has been very succesful.

How did you get into the jewellery business? Which brands do you carry?
My family have been in the diamond business for over 50 years. Like most women, I love jewellery. My partner is actually my sister in law and we travel the world to select jewellery from different designers. We make bespoke bridal jewellery as well as re-styling old stones and jewellery. Our designs are made according to our client’s budgets. We carry multibrands like Apriati from Greece, Crivelli,Gavello, Paolo Piovani, Ancora,Repossi and other designers from Greece,Turkey, Lebanon , India and United States.

Why did you call your company after the stone Jade?
I love the stone Jade, it’s my favourite. Most people know that Jade is not only green in colour, it comes in all different colours. It’s a very special stone.

What’s your next project?
We are one of the associate sponsors for the launch of the new model of Rolls Royce in Abu Dabi. In April we have a jewellery show in Kuwait, then in May   we’ll be in Jeddah and Riad. We have quite a busy schedule.Have you ever had a trunk show in Turkey?  Have you ever been to Turkey?
I never been to Turkey but my partner Rula has and she loved it. We haven’t had a trunk show in Turkey yet. We hope to have one there soon.
